ON THE ROAD AGAIN

This morning I begin the return journey to Colorado for a second year at Charis Bible College. Summer at home was great. I've enjoyed time with family and friends and my faithful house buddy, Mr. Whiskers. He is content at home on the quiet paths of our neighbourhood.

When I started off last year I had no idea of what my experience would be. It was over the top better than anything I could have imagined. Today I look forward to studying again with faculty and classmates I know and love. Still, even though the location and many folk are familiar, it will be a fresh adventure.

Each day brings never before encountered happenings wherever we are. The hours pass like the miles as we drive down a highway and the journey of life unfolds. We have expectations of what is ahead, but no guarantees. We can move forward as long as we can see what is immediately before us.

Centuries ago it was the same. The psalmist trusted God's word for direction. Psalm 119:105 states, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (NKJV) The author of Proverbs said our path will continue to get brighter as we travel on. (Proverbs 4:18) What a blessing that we can be led by the One who knows the road!

David said, "All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth. (Psalm 25:10 NKJV) On a woodland path or a multi-lane highway we can enjoy the journey with our loving Guide.

  1. How wonderful, Mary! I assume all things worked out for your beautiful house. May this year be even better than the last! Let's see where the road leads.
